Private Lessons

**Currently this is the only program we are able to offer until our new facility is finished in late spring / early summer 2025.**

Many issues our clients have with their dogs take place in and around the home. For that reason, the first and second private lesson will take place in your home where we can control the training environment more so than in a public setting. Once we're seeing the progress we're looking for, we can meet in public if that is an area you're needing help with your dog.

The cost for private lessons is $100/hour.

Board & Train:
Three or Four Weeks
*will offer again in early summer 2025*

This three or four week program takes your dog, regardless of his or her age, from their current understanding of basic comands and molds them into an obedient, well mannered family member. Your dog will progress from their elementary foundation in the sit, down, climb or place, loose leash walking, and recall (to come when called) commands to a higher level of comprehension. At the end of their course, he or she will be able to perform under distractions and will understand the training collars that have been introduced. This is not a "one size fits all" training program, and as such, any corrective tools used will be appropriate for the individual dog. The length of the program is determined by what your training goals are, where your dog is currently in their understanding of commands, and what (if any) behavior modification elements need to be added in to their training plan. During our initial consultation, we will discuss all of this and determine how many weeks your dog needs to spend with us.

The Board & Train course includes:

  • 21 or 28 consecutive days of boarding & training for your dog

  • Any training collars needed for your dog and detailed instruction on how to use them

  • Two 90-minute private follow-up lessons. The first one takes place when you come to pick up your dog at the end of the program at our facility. We will do the second lesson in your home 10-14 days after your dog goes home from training.

  • Assorted chew toys or other items we feel your dog will benefit from (slow feeder food bowl, nylon leash, antler, Benebone, etc.)

During our follow-up lessons, time is spent with the family members, teaching you how to keep up with your dog's training. We teach you how to manage the leash, utilize training collars correctly, implement different management techniques and how to effectively communicate with your dog in a way that he/she understands.

This program is perfect for the new puppy you've recently added to your home, the adult dog you've rescued from a shelter, or even for the older dog that could use a little remedial education. Puppies as young as 14-16 weeks old are able to join us for this program. We can also tailor this program to address more specific needs of certain dogs, including aggression, resource guarding, or other problematic behaviors.

The cost for this program is $1000/week. Additional fees may apply for aggressive dogs or serious behavior modification programs, depending on the severity of the issues.

Free Evaluation and Consultation

A great place to start is with a free evaluation that can be done over the phone or in your home. This gives us the opportunity to meet you and your dog in person, further discuss the training or behavioral concerns you're experiencing with your dog, and come up with the best training plan to address those concerns. Please fill out our new client questionnaire (click here) if you're interested in setting up a consultation. We look forward to hearing from you!

Vaccination Requirements

We require all of our training clients to be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper (DHPP or DHLPP), and Bordatella vaccines. We also ask that all dogs are current on their monthly heartworm prevention and a topical or oral flea & tick preventative. This helps to ensure the health and safety of all of our guests. Proof of current vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian is required prior to the start of any training program. We also accept proof of titer testing for Distemper, Parvo and Rabies in lieu of proof of vaccination.

Please bring a copy of your dog's vaccine history to your first appointment or feel free to email the document ahead of time.
